Yesterday (02/10/02) we saw 3 swans (2 adult, 1 juvenile) at Farmington Bay.
They were about 200 feet out on the ice (in moving water) west of the
road, about 1/2 way to the end, after the island (right before the first
bridge). Their overall size and the long shape of their bill indicated
Trumpeter, as well as the absence of any yellow on their bills.
Did anyone else see these - and make a positive id?
Thanks,
Rachelle
