Northern Utah Birds

This a brief report on birds seen in the northern part of the state the last
two days. Both a Merlin and a Prarie Falcon were ween along the AIC on
1-10. Today the Redpolls were again seen at Mantua, although Georgene and I
were only able to find three of them mixed in with the Goldfinches, after
searching for about an hour and a half. They were near the intersection of
Main and Center Streets. At Salt Creek Waterfowl Management a Great Egret
flew directly over our heads less than 100 feet away. A flock of Gray
Partridge were flushed right at Stinky Springs, which, by the way, is very
aptly named. Unfortunately, the Ruff seems to be long gone.
