Ruff, Hoodies

The Ruff was still present Saturday, 12/22, at about 1:30 p.m., in the same
spot west of Corinne.  This was a lifer for me, so it made a nice early
Christmas present!  There were also 3 pairs of Hooded Mergansers on the
Kaysville pond that is accessed via Exit 331, or the frontage road.  The
late afternoon sun backlighting the head feathers on the females was a
stunning sight.  Did a Redpoll vigil on 9th West, but couldn't pull that
lifer out.  Bah, humbug?   Merry Christmas and Good Birding, everyone!
