Several hundred Tundra Swans were observed to the north and west of the =
auto tour loop at Bear River MBR on Thursday afternoon.
A first winter Glaucous-winged Gull (very dark - a hybrid?) was seen =
flying near one of the outlet culverts from Unit 2 on the southern end =
of the tour loop together with a swarm of Ring-billed Gulls.
There were numerous N. Harriers hunting and a few Rough-legged Hawks =
(both color morphs).
Also Sage Sparrows, American Pipits. and Green-winged Teal.
And a lone White Pelican swimming in one of the canals - probably =
injured.
