Northern Saw-whet Owl

This evening as it was getting dark, I saw a saw-whet owl on the south
airport dike. It was on the south side of the road shortly before you turn
left onto the south extension. I am really bad at giving directions, so I
tied a piece of green plastic to a bush along the side of the road to help
others in finding the area. The owl was directly behind it on top of one
of the tree stumps. As I was talking to Milt, it flew and I didn't see
which direction it went. I will go out again in the morning to see if I
can relocate it. At first, I was excited because I thought it was a pygmy
owl. I directed my headlights onto it and then got really excited when I
discovered it was a saw-whet.
