Hi Friends,
Tracy Aviary is having another one of its FREE lectures this Thursday. Here's the info:
Who: Dr. Scott Robinson, Chair of Animal Biology,
University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign)
What: Conserving Migratory Songbirds: Preventing
Enviromental Trainwrecks. Dr. Robinson will
discuss human-generated threats to migratory
songbirds, including habitat loss and
fragmentation, collisions with buildings and
windows, cats, changing patterns of fire and
flooding, and the rise of the cowbird. He will
argue that conservation strategies should
preserve abundance, not just to prevent
extinction.
When: This Thursday, September 27, 7 p.m.
Where: University of Utah, Skaggs Biology Building.
Call Tracy Aviary for more information, including better directions - 596-8500. Again, this is FREE.
