Iron Co. shorebirds

Monday (23 April) was the best shorebird day of the spring, thus far, at Quichipa Lake (a basin lake west of Cedar City). Most noteworthy was a lone WHIMBREL with 4 Long-billed Curlews. Other shorebirds included Sanderling (new arrival), Western and Least sandpipers, Semipalmated Plover, Long-billed Dowitcher, Lesser Yellowlegs, Willet, Marbled Godwit, Wilson's Phalarope, Black-necked Stilt, and American Avocet.
