Hyrum Dam, Cache County

April 21

Seven eared grebe were seen on Hyrum Dam. This was especially fun because
it was a first for my wife; an addition to her life list. Also present was
a large
number of clarkes, and western grebes, some loons, and a double crested
cormorant.

The Hyrum Dam is also a popular gathering spot for gulls. Many stay on the
water at night. It is interesting to observe at sundown and see them
coming in. There will literally be thousands.
