We saw our first snowy egret of the year at Farmington Bay on Tues. evening.
Also a good flyover by two sandhill cranes, another flushed from behind the
spring, more of those intensely orange yellow-headed blackbirds (actually we
saw a full spectrum of color, from the usual brillant yellow to nearly red),
a few remaining snow geese, avocets, a dining kestrel, gb herons, pelicans,
a lone common merganser, cinnamon teals, goldeneye, widgeon, and a number of
barn, tree, and northern rough-winged swallows. A partial list.
