Spring at Farmington Bay

It was a delightful morning at Farmington Bay with the usual assortment of
ducks, avocets, pelicans soaring overhead, a couple of sandhill cranes
passing over the entrance parking area and a flock of 19 snow geese moving
around the area, especially in a field between Glover Lane and the refuge.
One of the geese had a blue collar with what we thought were the letters E V
P Y S on it. Distance and heat waves were working against clarity so we could
be wrong about the letters. Does anyone know how to ascertain where such a
bird might have been collared? The color coding must be a key to some
researcher. Hugh Gillilan
