Ring-billed Ducks

Greetings,

On March 23, 2001, I observed 7 ring-billed gulls on the Dugout Pond by
Dugout Ranch (San Juan County) which is on the entrance road to
Canyonlands National Park Needles District. All were adults bird,
loafing on the pond. Good views were obtained with a Swarovski spotting
scope. The pond was also busy with ring-necked ducks, a few redheads 
and
some Canada geese.
