Re: [birdnet] Harris's Sparrow

We saw the sparrow around 1 p.m.
As we were about to leave disappointed, I took one last look and found it
foraging around an empty plastic milk carton near some brush. It then came
closer to the road into the open as more and more Dark-eyed Juncos came to
feed. Then the juncos took off out of sight and so did the Harris's
Sparrow. After about a minute, it came back and once again was by the milk
carton and repeated this behavior.
I think that patience is the best way for spotting this bird. Just wait
for the flock of juncos and hopefully the immature Harris's Sparrow will
still be in their company. Good Luck!
