sightings 2-9-01

Birded Kaysville Ponds, Antelope Island, and FBWMA today.

Kaysville--canvasbacks, hooded merganser pair, ring-necked ducks 
among others

Antelope Island--pretty dead, but did get chukar and a juvenile 
peregrine falcon.

FBWMA--no LBBGull; short-eared owl, greater and lesser yellowlegs 
and 4 cinnamon teal, 3 male and 1 female.  Still lots of bald 
eagles but the place is pretty much frozen over after this cold 
samp. impoundment at end of west dike road on the west side is 
open, but the east side where the gulls have been feeding on the 
carp is frozen.
