Thanks to the directions given to me by Milton Moody, Robin Tuck, and =
Brian Maxfield, I was able to find the Eurasian Wigen today. (I wasn't =
even close to the right locatin yesterday!!!) It was still at the ponds =
at 1:00 today, but then all the wigeons got spooked and they flew. I =
suspect they didn't go very far as most of them landed near the south =
end of the pond. I was able to get views of in the water and also on =
the opposite bank as it flew up there with the coots and other wigeons.
Still no luck on the Red Shoulder Hawk. I went back to Powell Slough =
today to look for it (again armed with better directions!!). Saw 4 =
raptors, 2 of which were Rough Leg Hawks, and the other 2 were too far =
away for me to ID.
