I See Owlets
by Eric Huish
The owlets are about to fledge. Every time I walk out into the yard
there is an owlet at the box entrance taking a look at the world. The
owlet is often accompanied by little flocks of scolding songbirds.
I have detected differences in the owlet at the entrance each day. Sometimes
it is big, other times small. There must be more than one owlet. Mother owl has been in the aspens very near the box to keep an eye
on the children.
