Summary: Because this sighting was much
earlier than other sightings of this species in Utah, the record was sent to a
second round to make sure the record eliminated other possible warblers,
especially the Orange-crowned Warbler. After research of other sightings of
Black-throated Blue Warblers in this area of the country the date thought to be
possible, though remarkable and the description adequately eliminated other
species.
