Warbler shape and Jizz.
Gray Overall.
Black & white face with Yellow forecrown reaching about midway up the crown (yellow seemed deeper and more orangish than in the field guides).
White eyebrow and molar stripes.
Well defined black ear patch and throat. I didn't see any other black. Ear patch started at bill and went around & below the eye.
Black on the throat started at the base of the bill and ended on the upper breast.
All edges on black parts crisp & sharp. No smudging or streaking.
I saw a yellow patch on the wing, but didn't get a good look at where it was exactly before it flew off.
I didn't get any good looks while it was in flight.
I didn't see the tail, undertail, or legs.
Song or call & method of delivery: None
Behavior:  Flew from a tree into a serviceberry bush. worked within the leaves on the outer edge of the bush. Then flew up into another bush and disappeared.
Habitat: Small canyon - (Bigtooth Maple, Chokecherry, Serviceberry, Mt. Mahogony) surrounded by Pinon-Juniper. Dry except for one small pond nearby.
