BOX ELDER COUNTY

Approximately 8 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were seen in Mantua on 01/09 (LL, JRy, SS, DT)

A GREAT EGRET was seen a at the Salt Creek Waterfowl Management Area, 01/11 (B&GB)

A flock of GRAY PARTRIDGE was seen at Stinky Springs, 01/11 (B&GB). Stinky Springs is approximately 8 miles west of Corinne on SR83.

The TRUMPETER SWAN family was seen again north of Deweyville at MM 18, SR 38, 01/13 (J&KB)

COMMON REDPOLLS continue to be seen in Mantua in the vicinity of Main Street between 100 North and 100 South. The most recent sighting was 01/15. (v.o.)


CACHE COUNTY

A NORTHERN PYGMY-OWL has been visiting a feeder in Logan, 01/10 (CS). Another one was seen near the Country Club in Logan. (JR)

One HARRIS' SPARROW was seen with a flock of White-crowned Sparrows on the west side of Mendon near 200 South and Highway 23, 01/13 (J&KB)


DAVIS COUNTY

At the Bountiful City Dump, several species of gulls were seen, including a first-year GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL, a first-year MEW GULL, THAYER'S GULLS, and HERRING GULLS, 01/10 (DS & BS)

A MERLIN and a PRAIRIE FALCON were seen along the AIC, 01/10 (B&GB). A

Prairie Falcon was also seen on the west dike of FBWMA, 01/13 (GB)

AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS have been observed near the restroom at the FBWMA, 01/12 and 01/13 (GB, BR JV). Six AMERICAN TREE SPARROWS were seen on Antelope Island at the parking light just past Ladyfinger Picnic Area, 01/13 (J&KB). The picnic area is the second parking area as you drive right around the island.

At the FBWMA, a SHORT-EARED OWL was seen hunting along the west dike road, 01/13 (J&KB)


GRAND COUNTY

A NORTHERN PYGMY-OWL was observed in the Scott M. Matheson Wetlands Preserve along the boardwalk trail just before sundown, 01/15 (DF)


SALT LAKE COUNTY

A BARROW'S GOLDENEYE was seen on the Jordan River Parkway near 2320 South Redwood Road, 01/10 (BH). It was seen again on 01/11

JUNIPER TITMICE were seen in the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 01/14 (SC). They were in the area of 440 N between 900 and 1100 East.


UTAH COUNTY

GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLETS were seen at the Provo City Cemetery in the pine trees in the NW corner, 01/08 (BS)

A LEWIS' WOODPECKER was found in Salem at Woodland Hills Drive and 9550 South (county address), 01/10 (HC). Take Spanish Fork exit from I-15 and head south on SR 89. Green sign points to Woodland Hills Drive (east/left) at top of the hill. Follow until you see farm machinery painted like a dragon and look around scrub oak and telephone poles, 01/10 (HC)


WASHINGTON COUNTY

Two AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS were on the SunRiver Pond south of Bloomington, 01/08 (WH).

A GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE was seen on the pond at the Dixie Redhills Golf Course, 01/08 (WH)

The two VERMILLION FLYCATCHERS found on the St. George CBC were still at Cox Park, 01/08 (WH)
