BOX ELDER COUNTY

At BRMBR, 2 male and 1 female HOODED MERGANSERS were seen, along with 2 BARROW'S GOLDENEYE, on Monday, 12/04 (BP). They were in the canal along the north side of the auto-tour loop.


CACHE COUNTY

A MERLIN was seen at Benson, in central Cache Valley, on Tuesday, 11/28 (BA).


DAVIS COUNTY

At least 50 BONAPARTE'S GULLS were seen at the second bridge (closest to the island) along the AIC on Sunday, 12/03 (AR).


SALT LAKE COUNTY

A late BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER was seen along the JRP just south of 126th South on Sunday, 11/26 (B&TC). At the same location, 3 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS were seen on Tuesday, 11/28 (TS).

A HARRIS'S SPARROW was reported visiting a feeder near the JRP at about 50th South on Tuesday, 11/28 (TS).

A pair of HOODED MERGANSERS was seen at the marina at Great Salt Lake SP, just west of Saltair, on Sunday, 12/10 (E&JC).

RED CROSSBILLS have been reported from several locations around Salt Lake City. About 20 were seen near the greenhouse in Liberty Park on Monday, 11/27 (D&HG), a flock of about 30 was seen in the Salt Lake City Cemetery on Saturday, 12/09 (MS,m.ob.), and several flocks have been reported to be on the University of Utah campus over the past few weeks (BO).


SUMMIT COUNTY

A WHITE-THROATED SPARROW was seen at a feeder in the Timberline neighborhood near Summit Park on Monday, 11/27 (LL).


UTAH COUNTY

A female LONG-TAILED DUCK (Oldsquaw) was seen along the south jetty at Utah Lake SP on Friday, 12/01 (J&KB).

A HARRIS'S SPARROW was seen in the southeast end of Provo on Tuesday, 11/28 (DS,m.ob.). It was feeding along Bullock's Lane, which runs between the East Bay area and Ironton Hill.

A NORTHERN SAW-WHET OWL was seen roosting in a tree in Bicentennial Park in Provo, on Saturday, 12/02 (M&PD). Bicentennial Park is in the southeast part of Provo, and can be reached by taking State St. to 1440 South, and turning east for a couple of blocks. The bird was near the second "hole" of the Frisbee Golf Course.

A male HOODED MERGANSER was seen on the pond at 400 North and Main St. in Salem on Saturday, 12/02 (M&PD,MM).

RED CROSSBILLS also continue to be seen in the Provo Cemetery, with reports from Tuesday, 11/28 (DS,m.ob.), and Thursday, 11/30 (BB,MS).


WASHINGTON COUNTY

Two LAPLAND LONGSPURS were seen at the Washington Fields diversion along the Virgin River on Wednesday, 11/29 (KW).
