BOX ELDER COUNTY

At BRMBR, a WHIMBREL was seen on Friday, 07/21 (BD). The bird was seen along the east side of the auto-tour loop.

Shorebird migration is in full swing at BRMBR, with large flocks of MARBLED GODWITS and LONG-BILLED DOWITCHERS among many other shorebirds, seen on Monday, 07/24 (KE,JR). Other birds seen at BRMBR on Monday, 07/24, included 3 GREAT EGRETS, 2 immature COMMON GOLDENEYE, and 5 BONAPARTE'S GULLS (KE,JR).


JUAB COUNTY

An immature RED-SHOULDERED HAWK has been seen at Fish Springs NWR (JB). It was first seen in the residence area near the refuge office on Tuesday, 07/25, and has been seen daily since then through at least Thursday, 07/27. Birders are reminded to request permission at the refuge office before entering the residence area.


SALT LAKE COUNTY

A SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was seen in the Sugar House area of Salt Lake City on Friday, 07/28 (DT). The bird was seen near 1500 South and 1600 East at about 5:30 pm, and was last seen heading south.

Along the JRP, a SEMIPALMATED PLOVER was seen just north of 3300 South on Saturday, 07/22. On Friday, 07/28, 6 BAND-TAILED PIGEONS were seen flying over the JRP near 3300 South (JH).

Five BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS were seen along the south shore of the Great Salt Lake between the Saltair Pavillion and the marina on Sunday, 07/23 (DS).


SUMMIT COUNTY

A BLACK SWIFT was seen flying over the Provo River Falls area on Friday, 07/28 in the afternoon (MS,HW).

Two COMMON LOONS, one in breeding plumage, were seen near the dam at Echo Reservoir on Tuesday, 07/25 (DW).


UTAH COUNTY

Three VAUX'S SWIFTS were seen flying over the Provo River Parkway on Wednesday, 07/26 (RS). The birds were seen about two blocks east of where Geneva Road crosses the parkway.

A SEMIPALMATED PLOVER was seen at Lincoln Beach, along the south shore of Utah Lake, on Sunday, 07/16 (DS),
