| Categories for the 2006 UCB Birding
Challenge: Everyone: 206 species for 2006 in the state of Utah Choose 6 out of the following challenges: 1 - 6 counties - 60 species in each [can't use old lists; start a brand new county list for all six counties], or 6 counties - 6 new species [lifers] in each county 2 - 6 habitats in the state of Utah - locate 6 species in each habitat 3 - 6 new species for your Utah State list 4 - 6 new species for your Utah County list 5 - Big Day 2006 in Utah County - 60 species 6 - Plan and lead one major field trip in 2006 7 - Attend six UCB monthly meetings in 2006 8 - Attend six UCB field trips in 2006 9 - In 2006 write one article for the UCB newsletter [submit to Eric Huish] 10 - In 2006 write up a new birding location for the UCB website: directions, description of habitat, photo [submit information to Milton Moody]. Note: You can substitute one (1) category of your own choosing for one of the suggested challenges listed above. THE CHALLENGE RUNS THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2006. SUBMISSIONS FOR RESULTS ARE DUE TO THE COMMITTEE BY THE JANUARY 2007 UCB MEETING. Everyone is invited to participate in the 2006 UCB Birding Challenge. However, only those individuals who are dues paying members of the Utah County Birders and complete the challenge are qualified to receive an award at the UCB Awards Banquet in February 2007.
