yard birding

I just thought I would mention for fun that yesterday I decided to bird my yard since it was mothers day. Had to be with the family. But I did manage to see four new yard birds in one day. They included, Broad-tailed Hummingbird, can't believe it took so long, Chipping Sparrow, Gray Flycatcher doing his downward thrust of his tail and last was a Brewer's Blackbird. This brings me up to 58 birds in the yard. Also other fun birds to watch was a pair of Orioles collecting nesting material and a pair of Black-headed Grosbeaks raiding the feeder, Cassin Finches and a flyover American Crow. All together saw about 25 species.
