Provo Airport Dike: Sandhill Crane, Yellow-headed Blackbird etc.

Hey,

I took a trip out to the airport dike this morning
with a friend. We birded the east side of the dike
from the entrance to where it first bends to the
right. Among the birds we saw were:

American White Pelican: 1
Sandhill Crane: 1 flying over
Chukar: 1
Ring-necked Pheasant: 2
Sharp-shinned Hawk: 1
Yellow-headed Blackbird: 3 males
Brewer's Blackbird: about 45

There were also a few N. Harriers, about half a dozen
Killdeer and a Mourning Dove (migrant?).

Also at Provo Wetlands (near Kuhni's) there was an
immature Black-crowned Night-Heron on the small island
in the pond there.
