This afternoon around 3:30 pm there was a male Merlin
at the top of a tall spruce tree where Briar Ave.
bends left and becomes Oak Lane in east provo.
Further up Oak Lane there was a Sharp-shinned Hawk
harassing the many House Finches and Cedar Waxwings
there. As the Cedars wheeled I saw 3 larger birds that
were probably Bohemian Waxwings...but I didn't get a
great look as the birds were flying away from the
hawk.
