BYU SATURDAY MORNING BIRD WALK

Just a reminder about the bird walk on Saturday morning at BYU. Walk leaders this weekend are Alone Huffaker and Bonnie Williams.

Meet at 7:30 a.m at the Botany Pond on the southend of campus - 8th North and 4th East. Bring your binoculars and bring a warm jacket. It's still a bit cool in the mornings.

Thanks to Milt Moody for the excellent tour last Saturday morning around campus and then on to Skipper Bay Trail by Utah Lake State Park.

Some of the birds seen so far on campus:

Black-capped Chickadee
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Cliff Swallow
Tree Swallow
Barn Swallow
European Starling
American Robin
Mallard
American Goldfinch
Lesser Goldfinch
House Finch
California Gull
Cooper's Hawk
House Sparrow
Northern Flicker
White-crowned Sparrow (heard)

We are compiling a list for the Bean Museum of birds seen on campus this spring. It would be much appreciated if trip leaders could submit to me a list of any additional birds seen during these weekend walks.

Thanks for your support and happy spring birding everyone!
