I walked the Skipper Bay Trail at about one this afternoon. I walked to the end of it. I managed four new year birds. I saw a large flock of Chipping Sparrows which was really pretty. They are a good looking sparrow. Also I saw Brewer's and Vesper Sparrows along the trail. I saw a Blue Gray Gnatcatcher that was buzzing around in the cattails. The Ospery were in there nest. It was sure nice, but no Orioles there yet. The only Warbler I saw was a Yellow-Rumped. Still was great to see. They sure are beautiful.
