Stewart Falls

I hiked from Aspen Grove to Stewart Falls this morning. Besides being a beautiful hike, it had quite a few birds. The most active area were the conifiers at the start of the hike. Here I saw a juvenille Golden Crowned Kinglet, also there was an active female Hairy Woodpecker five feet from me. It was a fun bird to watch. There was also a Hermit Thrush in the same area. Those were the best birds of the day.

Here is a complete list of birds observed along the trail to Stewart Falls.

Hummingbird species think it was a Rufous
Hairy Woodpecker
Empid species Would guess a Hammond's, but not positive.
Warbling Vireo
Stellar's Jay

P.S. I stopped by the Vivian Park hummingbird feeders for a Calliope, but only saw Rufous and Broad Tailed Hummers.
