Pine Siskin species name

To those who were at the UCB meeting last night:

I checked on the Pine Siskin to make sure I was right about the Siskin
in Finland being the same species as ours and sure enough I was...
WRONG!

Here's the scoop:
Carduelis pinus is the Pine Siskin around here.
Carduelis spinus is the (Eurasian) Siskin.

Hey, just one little "s" ? that's pretty close.
