Today, at Sand Hollow, I observed 6 Black Terns in
summer plumage. The birds were foraging above the water near the West
dike. Other species seen were: Eared Grebe, Franklin's Gull, California
Gull, Ring-billed Gull, Forster's Tern, Caspian Tern, American Avocet and
Black-throated Sparrow.
