Subject: Mountain Bluebirds
Hello,
My husband and I have just fulfilled a dream that we've had for 15 years. We bought a little cabin up in the Brian Head area. It's just off of Steam Engine Meadows at an elevation of just above 10,000 feet very near Brian Head peak. It sits in the middle of a small open meadow area and is surrounded by aspens and some spruce.
I am very excited about the prospect of building a mountain bluebird box and have been trying to do some research on the subject so that I do it right. I was wondering if you could tell me if this area would be likely to have bluebirds and if you know of sightings in this area. I would be interested, actually, in any information concerning bluebirds that you could pass along to me.
