The Celebrity Bird

ABC Channel 4 news featured a story this evening about the Boreal Owl 
that Kirk Earl saw and photographed in Cache County last Saturday.  
Although the story wasn't quite right (the report said the Jan 21 
sighting was the first documented daytime sighting in our state; I 
believe that honor belongs to Dave Strickland's 1997 sighting in Wasatch 
County), it was still fun to see a local news story about a celebrity in 
the Utah birding world.
