I headed down to the Jordan River again this morning. I arrived
around 9:15 and there were a lot more Sparrows in the willows and
brush along the river. When I got to the spot where Ed found the bird
originally I went about 50 yards further north and could here about a
dozen White-crowned Sparrow, several Song Sparrow, and I thought I
heard the HASP chipping. About this time Pomera Fronce was heading
back from where I saw the bird. It old her I thought the bird was in
the bushes in front of us. Right then it popped up and Pomera said,
"There it is!"
We watched the bird for about 10 minutes before she left. I decided
to stalk it for a short time and try to get a picture....

To get to the location (my last directions were unclear):
>From 106th south and I-15 head west and cross the Jordan River. At
the first light pased the river turn left. You will again turn left
in about 100 feet. Drive straight to the end of the parking lot and
park in the corner. The trail should be directly ahead of you to the
east. Hop on the trail and head north under 106th south about 3/4 of
a mile. You will pass the golf course to the west and com eupon a
yellow sign on the trail. At this point there is some major
construction to the west. From this sign it was 50 yards to the bird
this morning. Between here and 200 yards north of the sign the bird
was seen in the trees and brush to the west of the trail. I last saw
it about 75 yards north of the yellow sign, and for those of you with
GPS/google earth here is the latilong:
N 40*33.937'
W 111*54.550'
