first bird 2006

For the first time in recent memory, our first bird of the year wasn't a
common feeder bird  (i.e., finch, sparrow, chickadee).  Rather, our
attention was caught by an incessant chipping call that belonged to a
Yellow-rumped ("Audubon's") Warbler.  A wonderful sight to greet the new
year.
