I made a run through some of the local parks today checking for Cackling
Goose. Sugarhouse, Fairmont, and Liberty Park all had good numbers of
Geese, with Sugarhouse being the "hotspot" There were several hundred
Canada Geese, many of the Parvipes subspecies. No Cackler's anywhere.
I also ran by a couple Golf Courses with the same outcome.
This is the best time of year to find this bird, at least the
Richardson's subspecies as they migrate through, keep your eyes peeled!
Good Birding
Tim
