Message: I was out on the Causeway this week, Tues and Wed. There was, what
I thought, was a White-Winged Scoter there, but I never did see the white on
the wing. It could also have been a Surf Scoter. I couldn't tell and I'm not
experienced in either of those birds. If someone else has seen or could go
and look it would be great. It was swimming with Lesser Scaup's and a few
Earred Grebes on the South side of the dike just after the bridge, and just
before the Marina.
Thanks, MarJean Muhlestein
