I guess I may have had some misinformation. I thought it was a Red Knot that had been seen out there so I looked for an hour for one. Gave up and chased the million dragonflies around trying to get photos. Is there a Red Knot too? Last year I got to see the Turnstone and got a couple of (not great) photos from my hiding place in the spidery weeds with some dead tumbleweeds I piled around me for camoflage. I watched him for quite a while until some swallows started swooping down by him and he flew off. He was actually "turning" up little pieces of mud probing for snacks. Beautiful little guy. We need a hundred more Antelope Islands 'cause that one is getting full. I've never seen so much wildlife all together...birds, dragonflies, lizards...Great day!
