Scarlet Tanagers, male and female were fliting around by ZION park visitor center, campsites 20, 21 and bathroom(ZION park visitor center) checking empty tables and working the little streams for food sourses. Trees to tables to tall grass to ground. they were in that area for 5 minutes. {Camp site is past parking lot for visitor center. Past check in for sites and make a left by hosts sites and follow first loop around circle. The birds were viewed through at 9:00. The whole area was alive with many species just before the direct sunshires reaches the campsites.}
Mute Swan 3 miles north of Virgin on Nebo Res Road. Pond on west side of road. Following road to lake -res
5 miles before lake, Blue Grouse working insect on grass.They walked like they we in slow motion. When they spied an insect the grabbed it very quickly. Most interesting to observe. Could drive within 10 feet of birds and did not spook them.
