Hellow, fellow birders:
I stopped off in Green River last Sunday after a weekend of exploring
slot canyons with my two older boys, and found the little park in town
(the one with the missile) all aflutter with Great-tailed grackles and
Eurasian collared-doves (of which there were AT LEAST four but probably
considerably more--it was hard to tell with them being so active, flying
in and out of the surrounding neighborhoods and hiding in trees). I
know neither species is exactly "rare" in Utah, but it was a new place
for me to see them.
Happy birding,
David
