If any of you have read _Parrot Without a Name_, an account of the discovery
of a new species in Peru, you may remember that it was also written by Don

listening to bird song [complete with CD of bird songs]. He describes how
birds communicate and why.
Don Stap's book Birdsong: a natural history is an account of the work of
Kroodsma and others in the lab and in the field.
Originally broadcast March 29, 2005 Broadcast again on 30 May 2005.
