I birded Bear River and Promontory Sunday. On the road to Bear River I
found a strange site in a field of what looked like corn. Not a bird, but
cute, so I thought I'd share it. It's on my other site at:

I did see a BURROWING OWL today near Promontory, but no short-eared owl. I
got some nice bird photos and it was hard to turn around and start back
home. I just wanted to keep on going to maybe Locomotive Springs or
Alaska. Other birds seen: SANDHILL CRANE, LARK SPARROW, COMMON
YELLOWTHROAT, VIRGINIA RAIL, BULLOCK'S ORIOLE, WESTERN TANAGER,
BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK, BREWER'S SPARROW, GREAT-TAILED GRACKLE, VESPER
SPARROW, FORSTER'S TERN, SAGE THRASHER, and WILLET (to name a few).
The HP was everywhere today. I heard on the radio they're targeting and
ticketing people without seat belts right now. Beware.
