Dear Birders,
Today is a wonderful day. Cliff swallows are coming by the dozens to
the west entrance of the Science Bldg. on Utah Valley State campus and
applying mud to their nests. This is as good as it gets, bird's eye
view of nest building behavior with no binoculars. You can see how
pairs are working together during the construction process. And from
between the double doors at the first floor west entrance you can see
this very close up. And you don't even need binoculars to see the tiny
claws on their toes from this vantage point. You are welcome to come
watch this marvelous construction being carried out by literally several
dozen birds right now. Before long there should be 100 + pairs there.
Don't miss it, these are beautiful birds.
Sincerely,
Wayne
