On Thursday afternoon (4/6) at around 5 p.m. a pair of cattle egrets in
breeding plumage were seen on a small island south of the gazebo. No
great or snowy egrets were seen. There was also a lone canvasback, along
with redheads, lesser scaup, mallards, a few common mergansers, and
about a gazillion California gulls. I also saw my first Canada geese
brood of the season, as momma and seven little fluff-balls made their
way toward the water.
Sorry this is a little tardy.
