I finally purchased a camera and it turned out to
be the Panasonic FZ20. Being a real beginner with cameras, I've struggled
to take pictures that are recognizable. But, after nearly 12 hours of
reading and playing around, I finally got a decent picture of a Short-eared Owl
that was perched on the way out of the Salt Creek Waterfowl Management
area.
If anyone is interested, the picture is at www.pbase.com/mickelson
The only editing I know how to do is crop, so even
I can tell there are a bunch of things that are messed up in the picture like
the water in the back is all lit up. So, if you get a chance, please give
me a few pointers after looking at the pic if you have any. Also, there
have been MANY people who have gone out of their way to help me with finding a
suitable camera--thank you so much! I've rec'd email tips, website tips,
and been offered a few basic lessons (which I'll surely need), so thank you all
for your kindness...
