Sunday was a wonderful day for birding! Rockport
Reservoir produced many beautiful Common Mergansers and
Mountain Bluebirds and a Barrow's
Goldeneye. A Canyon Wren serenaded us at
East Canyon. On the stretch between East Canyon and Morgan, we watched two
adult and three juvenile Bald Eagles soaring very low and right
overhead. Also, found a flock of 35 Wild
Turkeys. Most interesting was a HUGE male with a "beard" -
something I had never seen before.
