Say's Phoebe & Common Loon

We birded Utah, Juab and Millard counties again this weekend with different
results.

Goshen Bay Road: SANDHILL CRANES in the fields to the south.

Road to Mammoth off Highway 6: PINYON JAYS, SCRUB JAYS and then some
MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRDS just down the road from the Mammoth cutoff.

Eureka Cemetery: PINE SISKEN & JUNCOS

Mile Marker 132 - FERRUGINOUS HAWK

Around MM133 - BUSHTITS

Tintic Valley Coop Research Project road: MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRDS everywhere,
many kettling CROWS, soaring BALD EAGLES and some RED-TAILED HAWKS. Across
and down a little on other other side of the road from the COOP cutoff is a
dirt road leading east. About a mile down that road is a makeshift metal
corral and an old house trailer. There was a SAY'S PHOEBE there singing
his little heart out.

Going toward Delta where the road dips at the Sevier River, there were some
CINNAMON TEAL and AMERICAN WIGEON.

Fool's Creek Reservoir: AVOCETS and YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS.

Goshen Canyon: ROCK WREN & CANYON WREN singing, BUSHTITS and KINGFISHER.

Mona: PRAIRIE FALCON

Burriston Ponds: COMMON LOON and PIED-BILLED GREBE.

Different weekend, different birds. The bluebirds are really moving in.
Forty-five species this time.

Carol
