Four of us, including my 7 year-old granddaughter,
spent 25 minutes watching a Cooper's eat a house sparrow as it stood
on a wooden fence under an apple tree 25 feet away. 35 Bohemian
Waxwings nervously flew over several times. We
took a gazillion photos with a variety cameras. Maybe one will turn
out.
A welcome sight in a town full of house sparrows,
starlings, snow and ice.
