Hi all,
Once when I was living in Texas, we took a trip to Johnson City, where a
man had a Green Violet Ear coming to his feeder. SOon after our arrival,
another man arrived to see the bird. He was from Rochester, New York, and
had heard about the GVE over the internet. We then had him accompany us to
a nearby state park where we birded for a few more ours. We learned that
our birder from New York sent his lists in the the ABA to be approved before he
added any of his sightings to his list(s). Talk about a list being
yours!
Good birding,
Richard

superb documentation"
Enjoy the birds. Work on your observation skills but have fun and
don't worry about calling them, as you see them. Kenn Kaufman who
doesn't keep a life list, answered a question I once asked him about the rules
for keeping a life list. "Bill", he said, "always remember that it is
your list, so you get to make the rules."
Regards,
Bill
