Society (WAS) this holiday season to participate in any of our four area
Christmas Bird Counts. Take your pick:
Bear River Refuge
When: Wednesday, December 15
Meet: 8:00 a.m. for breakfast or 8:30 for
carpooling
Where: McDonald's, I-15 Exit 352, Farr
West*
*other meeting arrangements can be made for anyone
joining WAS from more northerly latitudes
Ogden Area
When: Saturday, December 19
Meet: 6:30 a.m. for breakfast and team
assignments
Where: Country Market Restaurant at the
Flying J/Conoco Plaza, I-15 Exit 346 (Ogden's 21st St. Exit)
Later: Reassemble at 6:00 p.m. at the UCC
Church (3350 Harrison Blvd) for a potluck dinner and compilation of
data
Morgan Area
When: Wednesday, December 29
Meet: 7:30 a.m.
Where: Utah DWR Northern Region Office,
515E. 5300S., South Ogden, to carpool to breakfast at The Spring Chicken Inn in
Morgan, or meet at the Inn (4 N. State Street) at 8:00 a.m.
Antelope Island
When: Saturday, January 1 Meet: 8:00 a.m.
Where: Parking lot outside the Antelope
Island State Park entrance kiosk
Participation in any of the Audubon counts requires
a $5.00 fee that covers processing the data and printing the annual
survey book (count participants will receive a copy in 2005). Please
