Message: I was curious about the observations of the Common Loons at Quail 
Creek Res. in Washington County. There was an observation from Charlie 
Sheard late in July who suggested that they might be migrating south? I 
recall seeing a group of 4 Loons on Quail Creek on June 17. I thought at 
that time that they might be heading north. I have not researched it much 
but the Loons are apparently on there breeding grounds further north in May. 
So these birds on Quail Creek during the summer puzzle me. Any ideas?
