Brown Pelican, not

I ran down this afternoon to the Lindon Boat Harbor with Erich Huish. We were unable to find a Brown Pelican, but did see a very dark brown American White Pelican, it was brown almost over it's entire body, including head and body. But when it would stretch its wings it showed the wing pattern of a American White Pelican. Maybe it got itself in a lot of mud or something? Nevertheless the only one that was close to resembling a Brown Pelican turned out to be a White Pelican. Hope this helps.
